To encourage churches to reach out to their communities, we regularly post stories of churches engaged in successful outreach efforts. These stories come straight from our Outreach Solutions Consultants, who daily help churches reach more people for Christ.
Welcome One New Mover Program Story
We are going to continue with the Welcome One New Movers program and use the database of new homes as our target market. We have experienced a 33% (yes, a 33%!) increase in attendance since beginning the WelcomeOne campaign. I attribute it to lots of prayer, fasting and targeted marketing. Thank you once again, and let’s keep it up! It’s about lives finding Jesus!!!

“Being a city on a hill, we have an obligation to show others how we can live together and work together to build a community. This is a great example of people coming together and taking care of our own, helping our own.” –Barry Blount, mayor of Americus, Ga.
October 8-10, 190 people joined The Fuller Center for Housing (www.fullercenter.org/americus ) in a community-wide Faith in Action Weekend to serve their city. Read the whole story here: http://americustimesrecorder.com/local/x1324601458/Faith-in-action

Tarrant Net (www.tarrantnet.org) is a non-denominational Christian organization that serves churches in cities such as Ft. Worth, Arlington, Mansfield, and Burleson, Texas, among many others. I was first contacted by Jeff Sanders at Tarrant Net back in January, and he told me that he was committed to bringing together as many churches as possible for a county-wide FIA weekend on October 22–24. As of today, more than 50 churches will participate in the event! This is a tremendous example of what can be accomplished through a cooperative effort by the Body of Christ.
