Today, I took a little walk down memory lane. Twenty months ago I was eating, sleeping and dreaming FIREPROOF. I couldn’t imagine a world where I didn’t mention marriage, couples or The Love Dare in every other sentence. Now I feel that way about TO SAVE A LIFE, and FIREPROOF has become a distant memory.
But today, for one reason or another, I ended up spending some time reading stories on the Fireproof website. I was so encouraged, so exhilarated, because 20 months later people are still posting stories about how Fireproof has touched their lives and their marriages. People are re-committing to relationships, others are beginning to have hope that they can change. And reading those stories makes every single stress-filled day and sleepless night worth it.
Today, stories are pouring in from teens who are being inspired by TO SAVE A LIFE, whose lives are physically and spiritually being saved by the message of hope. Most days I’m too task-focused to stop and read what they are saying. But one thing I just learned is that every once in a while I need to take a few minutes to read the stories – to remember that next year, and the year after that, lives are still going to be impacted by TO SAVE A LIFE and FIREPROOF and I had a little bit of involvement in getting the word out. I hope you’ll take a minute and read the stories too:
